Fantasy Golf Rules

I. General Competition/Scoring:

a. Fantasy golf team with the most prize money wins
       1. Prize money is awarded in accordance to PGA Tour payouts and bonuses

b. For each "Swing," the top grossing team will receive the cash bonus associated with that "Swing," to be added to their total pot.

II. Roster Composition:

a. Every team is comprised of ten (10) 1-year contract golfers, and three (3) 3-year contract keepers

b. Teams are established via an annual ten (10) round draft, order of which is based off a random draft lottery.
       1. If a new team is added, that team automatically gets the last pick in the first round
       2. If a new team is added, that team's keepers are established via a three (3) round supplemental draft  following the conclusion of the of the annual draft
       3. Year 1 will consist of a thirteen (13) round draft, in which the final 3 rounds will be the "keeper rounds."

c. Every time a golfer is started, he will be charged one (1) start; each golfer has a maximum of sixteen (16) starts per season
      1. If a golfer withdraws before hitting his first tee shot, that golfer is not charged a start.
      2. When a golfer reaches 16 starts, that golfer is Maxed Out, meaning he is no longer eligible for any transaction, other than being dropped.

III. Starting Roster Composition:

a. For every tournament that has a cut, five (5) golfers must be started, three (3) of which must make the cut in order to the team to qualify for prize money.

b. For every tournament without a cut, only three (3) golfers can be started.

c. Starting lineups must be posted before the first tee time of the week's tournament
      1. WD - If a golfer WD's at the time, or shortly before, his tee time, an owner can replace that golfer with another from his roster that is yet to tee off.

VI. Keepers

a. You may keep a golfer for up to three (3) years, with year 1 beginning the moment the "keeper" is drafted
      1. You do not need to keep a golfer for all 3 years. You may choose to not retain the keeper in the off-season.  Any team without 3 keepers will be included in a supplemental draft following the regular yearly draft, where new keepers will be chosen.
      2. If you drop a keeper and replace him with a Free Agent, that Free Agent DOES NOT take over the 3-year keeper contract.

b. Arbitration - if you'd like to keep your keeper beyond three (3) years, he will go into arbitration. Based on his World Golf Ranking at the time of the next year's draft, you will forfeit a certain level of draft pick to retain him for 1 additional year. All arbitration offers will be made clear before a decision needs to be made by the owner.

V. Transactions:

a. Add/Drops - transaction to claim a free agent golfer (a golfer who is not on a roster) in place of an existing golfer
      1. Teams get an unlimited number of Add/Drops
      2. Waiver Wire - teams are awarded free agent golfers based of their waiver wire order (the current inverse standings); waiver wire submissions must be emailed to the commissioner by 11:59 pm on the Monday before a tournament - waiver wire requests are awarded on the Tuesday before a tournament
      3. Free Agency - following the waiver wire period (approx. 7 am Tuesday morning), open free agency exists where teams can add/drop freely - this is on a first come, first serve basis; the Free Agency period ends with the first tee shot of the week's tournament

b. Borrows - transaction that allows for a team to start a golfer on another team's roster
1. Teams get a maximum of three (3) Borrows
2. No borrows can be made once the FedEx Cup Playoffs have begun

c. Mulligans - transaction to replace one of a team's starting golfers with another golfer from that team's roster
      1. Teams get a maximum of ten (10) Mulligans, consisting of six (6) that can be used after Round 1 of a tournament and an additional four (4) that can be used after Round 2 of a tournament
      2. Mulligans can still be made once the FedEx Cup Playoffs have begun

d. Trades - can include a maximum of three (3) 1-year golfers OR two (2) keepers OR three (3) draft picks
      1. Keeper for Keeper Trades: in this case, the contracts linked each Keeper involved remain as they were before the transaction
      2. Keeper for 1-Year Golfer Trades: in this case, the Keeper being traded retains his keeper status, while the 1-Year Golfer remains a 1-Year Golfer.
     3. Draft Pick(s)  Trades: if one or more draft pick(s) are traded, the team that loses draft pick(s) will receive supplementary picks according to the number of draft picks lost at the conclusion of the following year's annual draft (including Keeper rounds); if multiple situations like this occur in the same season, the order of supplementary picks will be based off the inverse year-end standings

e. The Transaction Deadline is the Thursday before the first tee time of first FedEx Cup Playoff tournament - no trades OR add/drops are allowed once the first tournament has begun.
